ilse is a purebred German Shepherd. She was used for breeding. She had two litters and was retired just before she turned 4 years old.
ilse lived in a kennel with a couple of other dogs and got along well with them.
She was allowed out into a run area at least once a day. She had human contact, just very little.
She has had some training, comes well to command, but might need some refreshing on other commands.
Since we have had her we have discovered she does not do well with men, she prefers women.
We have never fenced or tied her out. She is a house dog now and is housebroken.
ilse plays with a 14 lb Spaniel/Dachshund and he always wins. She has a sweet and gentle personality.
She is timid around other people but not aggressive and really misses the bigger dogs to run around with and burn off energy.
BoBo (Dachshund) can not be let out without being
on a leash so they don’t have the opportunity to run around together. When we are outside she will not leave my side to
run around on her own. We feel she would benefit more if she could have the companionship of another dog that would be able to run and play with her.
ilse has been spayed, had her rabies shot, tested heartworm negative and she is on year round heartworm preventive. She is house trained.
