Please support the Cat Chat 'ADOPT AN OLDIE' campaign by purchasing an Eco-friendly 100% canvas bag. To help highlight the 1,000’s of older cats often overlooked in rescue centres, the bags have an exclusive 'mature moggy' design, with the slogan “SENIOR KITTIZENS ROCK! (Between Naps)” available from the CatChat.org Shop. Click on the bag to see more information.

What we do

Pound Puppy Animal Rescue was originally set-up to find homes for unwanted, abandoned and stray puppies. Many of these would be breeders rejects. We have since expanded our operation to include homeless dogs, cats, kittens and occasionally other animals. The animals stay in foster homes looked after by our volunteers in the area around Poole, Dorset until they find a suitable home.

Cats often come from homes where the owner can no longer keep them. Kittens are usually collected from the pound. They are kept in foster homes until they can be found a new home.

Donations required
Pound Puppy Animal Rescue survives on donations of food and money to pay vet fees. If you would like to help a dog during it's stay with us or if you have food/equipment/money you would like to donate then please e-mail or phone us.

Any money donations are gratefully received and should be sent to: Tom Mowlem, Companion Care Veterinary Surgery, 5 Victoria Place, 706 Wimborne Road, Moordown, Bournemouth. BH9 2EG, with Pound Puppy Rescue on the back of the cheque. Credit card donations can be made by telephoning the vet on 01202 635160. Please e-mail jayne4 to let me know that you have made a donation. Thankyou.
If you are fostering one of these cats please e-mail more information about it and if possible a photo to webmaster Remember to add @poundpuppy.org to the end of the address in your browser. Cannot get this e-mail address to work? Click here for more information
