June 8th 2011 Peanut Needs a Home - South Georgia
Peanut is a young male Chihuahua who was brought in from a kill shelter in Louisiana where he
would have been euthanized if Heart to Heart Small Dog Rescue had not rescued him.

He is a sweet, playful, happy, cuddly little fellow who gets along with other dogs and loves people.
He walks well on leash, is being crate trained and is working on his house training. He is neutered and
up to date on shots. Peanut is 1-2 years old and weighs 8 pounds. He loves lap time! Peanut loves to
play and run with other dogs but is really low energy and would do fine in an apartment as long as he
was walked. Peanut is undergoing heartworm treatment and his bio will be updated when that is
complete.

June 8th 2011 Stitch Needs a Home - Richfield, Minnesota 
Stitch is an 8 year old neutered male Chihuahua/Papillon mix, small size.

He is very shy and quiet and slow to come out of his shell. He has been a pleasure to have around and get to know!
He gets along well with foster mom's older calmer Chihuahuas. His favorite thing so far is playing a weird
little game with his tiny orange plush toy, where he steals it from his foster mom and then gives
it back right away. He has not been tested with cats or children, but he is definitely not a fan
of puppies. They move way too fast and are always annoying him by trying to play. He needs to sleep
in the bed with his person, he will go right to sleep and he will not bother anyone to get up
or pee or eat! If you love sleeping, this might be the dog for you! He gets let out in the morning,
around noon, around five, and again before bed and he does his business right away and comes back in!
He is very loving and very connected to his person, usually wanting to be in the same room as her,
but it is OK if he is not sitting on her lap. He is not demanding, he just looks at you and then nestles in,
taking care to be in the line of sight of his person. He travels well in the car.
He needs a home that really appreciates his sweet, loving, lazy, shy, and occasionally nervous demeanor.
We fill he would do well in a quiet home, perhaps with a couple of empty nesters. Other older or calm dogs
in the home would be fine, too.
Stitch is neutered, up to date with shots, is heartworm and intestinal parasite free.
Stitch also had a dental and he is microchipped.
