NEED SOMETHING TO DO?
Take a dog for a walk! We have a bridle path close to the rescue but it does get muddy and some of the dogs can jump up so wear old clothes and boots. We are open for walking from 9am - 3:30pm. We do not walk the dogs if it is raining. Phone first to make sure it is OK to walk the dogs then go along and choose your dog. The kennel staff will then put it on a lead for you and give you directions. Click here for directions to the rescue

TAKE A DOG HOME
Come along and visit the dogs. No appointment required during normal opening hours. You can take a dog for a walk, as they much prefer to be out exploring than sitting in a kennel. If you like one enough to take it home with you, we ask you to complete an adoption form and pay the donation that we set depending on the age and the breed of the dog. We recognise that a kennel is not a good environment for a dog, so we will usually release a dog to its new carer immediately subject to conditions required for its welfare. We will require from you documentation to prove that you are who you say you are e.g. a passport, and to prove where you live e.g. a recent gas/electricity/phone bill. Bring this with you in case you see a dog you like! We are unable to accept donations using credit/debit cards.

Problems with your Dog?

Ever had the feeling that your precious dog is doing just as
it wants rather than what you want it to do?

Let me show you how to be the pack leader so that you will be
confident with the knowledge that you can both control and
protect your dog.

Your dog needs to fit in with your lifestyle. This starts with
the rules of the home just like you would with children, and
then there are rules for how to behave outside.

I can guarantee that you and your dog will both become
more relaxed and gain more enjoyment from your time together.

Please phone me to discuss your problems and using my
experience I will do my best to help. Usually two training sessions
are sufficient to change the behaviour pattern of you and your dog.
